Developed by the AICPA’s, SOC 2 certification is widely recognized as a gold standard for data security and requires companies to establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures. In addition, the company also announced today the addition of Dan Johnson, an industry security veteran as Torchlight’s new Information Security and Compliance Leader.

“Having developed the only technology-based, data-informed, human-supported solution capable of delivering caregiver support at enterprise scale, we knew how critical it would be to invest in data controls,” said Adam Goldberg, Torchlight’s CEO. “In times of unprecedented uncertainty, it is more important than ever to assure families and their sponsoring organizations of our SOC 2 safeguards, especially with an intelligent digital platform at the core of our offering.”

The audit was conducted by AARC-360, a firm of certified public accountants and advisors registered with the PCAOB that combines deep insights gained across industries to provide assurance, advisory, risk, and compliance services to companies located both locally and internationally. In accordance with AICPA guidance, AARC-360’s SOC 2 examination services are designed to provide independent assurance against defined criteria around the principles of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, or privacy.

“Torchlight recognizes that security is a constant focus in today’s digital world and is dedicated to protecting its users and partners every step of the way. Obtaining SOC 2 provides assurance to our customers and end users that we have the policies and procedures in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system,” said Johnson. “It is refreshing to see such an organization-wide emphasis on security and I am excited to join a team that is dedicated to putting the security of the customer first.”
